Ortho-Bionomy®, What Is It?
Ortho-Bionomy® is a very effective bodywork therapy and energy healing system. Ortho-Bionomy® can quickly reduce pain and restore a more functional relationship between muscles, bones and joints with specific body positions. It can promote a more balanced relationship of body, mind and spirit by engaging our natural self healing processes.
Ortho-Bionomy® has a unique perspective that expands the use of positioning. Dr. Pauls believed that we had an innate intelligence that knew how to self-correct.
Ortho-Bionomy® energy techniques access more subtle levels of healing. Ortho-Bionomy® addresses a remarkable number of painful and debilitating physical conditions such as headache, back pain, sprains/strains, sports injuries, acute injuries, restricted movement, knee problems, acute and chronic pain, neuromuscular dysfunction. It can have a profound impact on physical, emotional and spiritual trauma.
This holistic perspective takes into account the client’s complete experience of pain and suffering and the means of resolving it. In Ortho-Bionomy® the client is empowered to take control of his or her own healing. Ortho-Bionomy was developed over 30 years ago by Arthur Lincoln Pauls, DO. Dr. Pauls combined the structural principles from Osteopathy with energetic and philosophical concepts from the Martial Arts and Homeopathy to create Ortho-Bionomy.
An Ortho-Bionomy® session is a respectful and comfortable “hands-on” experience. The gentle techniques used activate self-corrective nerve reflexes, allowing the body to regain its original patterns of health and wellness. Physical and emotional healing occur as the body remembers its natural ability to seek balance by moving from pain to comfort.
Ortho-Bionomy® is successfully used to help people with a variety of health complaints including acute injuries such as whiplash; chronic conditions like headaches, back pain and stress; problems associated with postural and structural imbalances, and emotional issues.
